Talking about a person I admire

Friedrich Wilhelm Sertürner Friedrich W. A. Sertürner was a German pharmacist who pioneered the discovery and isolation of morphine. Sertürner wanted to find the "principium somniferum" of opium. He realized that doctors often prescribed opium, but depending on its source, quality, appearance and other characteristics, the results were different. Having a pure substance would make it possible to better dose and control the effects of opium.   This would be one of the most important pharmacological achievements for this and many other substances that were yet to be discovered.  I admire him because his work contributed to the advancement of this and other analgesics, in addition to improving the efficacy of patient treatment.

A meal or food you really like

  Hello bloggers! Today i'm going to write about a typical dish that can't be missing in my home: the cazuela. I remember that my grandmother prepared the best cazuela and that's why I decided to learn to cook it on my own. it's a dish that connects me with my childhood. It is a soup with vegetables (potato, pumpkin, corn, carrot, and others), meat or chicken and seasonings to give it more flavor.  It is an ideal meal for the winter season, which provides a lot of energy, carbohydrates and protein, and satisfies the appetite. Although it is necessary to be careful with the quantities, it is very easy to eat more than one portion.  Goodbye and see you in the next blog!

Who am I?

Hello everyone! My name is Abigail Carrasco Chemistry and Pharmacy student at Universidad de Chile. I was born in Santiago de Chile on November 8, 2002. I live in Quinta Normal with my mom and my granma.  I have a rabbit, its name is Nhorman and I adopted it in September of last year.  I have two brothers and one sister. I have a lot of nephews and nieces, five for the moment. My sister is pregnant. In my free time I like go to freestyle battles and play table tennis.
